Before the Europeans set foot in the Horn of Africa, there was no Somali state whatsoever in the region, other than self-governing clans, some of which were under the rule of the Ottoman Empire such as Berbera and Zeila cities

Somaliland Case: Is It a Lost Cause or a Neglected Endeavor?

Was Somaliland aiming to be in charge of it's resources, reclaiming its boundaries, running it's municipalities governments, appointing it's provincial governors, and electing it's  administrative
